This summer play with yarn and fabric scraps
Make neat stuff like funky scarves, belts, hats and rugs with loops around fingers and loops around sticks.
Intro to Knitting
The class will entail learning to finger knit, introduction to needles, casting on (how to start), basic “straight” knit, casting off (how to end!). Yarn and needles are provided.
Knit II Review of basic stitches, introduction to purl stitch and work to complete a project. Review yarn provided.
This class also starts with learning to finger knit, introduction to the hook, starting chain, single crochet and finishing. Yarn and hook are provided.
Make a Rag Rug
This class dives right in with ripped scraps and rope. A used twin bed sheet needs to be supplied; we’ll rip it to shreds in class.
This camp is a free-flowing, student driven week of create-activity. You only need to bring your fingers to the first class!
Due to the nature of the instruction class size is limited to 20 students, ages 8 years and older.
